The Waikato Breast Cancer Trust (WBCT)
is a charitable Trust enabling research and education into breast cancer diagnosis, prevention and treatment.

OUR MISSION
quality research into breast cancer.

OUR VISION
dedicated to improving breast cancer outcomes.

The Waikato is one of the most active New Zealand centres for breast cancer research. Over the past 10 years the Trust has supported more than 30 different studies/clinical trials including radiotherapy, drug trials and new surgical treatments for breast cancer. In addition to local studies our research team works collaboratively with many international groups, actively participating in international breast cancer research.

The Trust’s continued support of both the local and international research work has ensured that women in New Zealand have access to the latest research advances and that New Zealand remains at the forefront of international breast cancer research.
