2009HIGH TEA AT THE OLDE CREAMERYMany thanks go to Chris Edmeades from The Olde Creamery and everyone who supported the “High Tea and High Fashion” which was held at The Olde Creamery (Kaipaki) on Saturday 31st October 2009. 150 guests had a high time and enjoyed Annah S and Annah Stretton’s latest fashions. A total of $5900 was raised for breast cancer research. View Photo Gallery HAMILTON CITY PINK WALKwas held on Thursday 29th October 2009 - the local breast cancer survivor (and supporters) dragon boat team, the Waikato Treasure Chests, launched their new boat and this was a highlight of the evening. Over 1400 participants turned Innes Common and the lakeside pink! A sincere thank you goes to all supporting sponsors, businesses, volunteers and individuals who donated items, services and time to ensure the Hamilton Pink Walk for breast cancer awareness happened! A total of $7,300 was raised for the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust. View Photo Gallery HUNTLY PINK WALKThanks to Colleen Earby who was at the helm of organising this event held on Thursday 1st October. Despite rain it was heartwarming to see a community coming together for a common cause. A total of $800 was raised for our Waikato based breast cancer research programme. SOUTH WAIKATO PINK WALKA huge thanks goes to the South Waikato Pacific Islands Health Committee for organising their first Pink Walk around Lake Moananui in Tokoroa on Friday 9th October. Wet weather didn’t deter the enthusiasm of the organisers and participants. Breast cancer awareness was raised and $768 was donated to our local research programme. Well done Tokoroa and the SWPIHC! PUTARURU THINK PINK PARTAAYThe Trust would like to extend their thanks to Annie Waterworth, Anne White and Natalie Pompey who organised the Putaruru Think Pink Partaay.
