What do we get up to?

Building Life skills and Independence

Here at Whitford Brown Community Trust we facilitate activities based on developing individuals ability to live a independent life of their choosing. Activities on site include Cooking, Arts, Church, Te Reo, Tablets, Sewing/Knitting, Numeracy and Literacy to name a few.

Community Involvement

We provide a diverse Community Participation programme based upon individual aspirations as well as supporting them to hang out with friends. Examples include Volunteer Work, accessing public places eg. Library, Pools. We have a work van that helps us to travel around the community as well as providing Pickups and Dropoffs. Our latest project helping maintain fruit trees in the community.

Support Services

We work alongside families to advocate and ensure they have all the supports needed.

We also support several community groups by allowing our building to be used for their activities which promote a positive benefit to people in the Porirua Community.

If you wish to inquire about using our building then please get in touch.
